The Glam and Glitter

This lovely lady is Tamara Kalinic, fashion blogger from Serbia, based in United Kingdom. Her blog The Glam and Glitter is very popular. Make sure that you follow Tamara on instagram and facebook   . I made a small interview with her, so hope you guys will like it. 

 

DTK: Tell me something about yourself and also about your blog .
Tamara: My blog is a fashion and travel diary. It has no rules, since its a place I created for my readers and myself to enjoy in all the things Glam and Glitter, fashion, lifestyle, beauty, travel...
DTK: How did you first get involved in with blogging? How long have you been blogging?

Tamara: I was still in university, studying Pharmacy degree. In my second year I decided that I needed a place where I can share all of my dreams, ambitions and love for fashion with someone.  I came up with the fashion blog idea, without even thinking it would turn out to be my dream job. I am blogging for about 4 years now.

DTK:What motivates you?
Tamara: Success motivates me a lot. All of my achievements are pushing me to do more and to make some sense out of everything that is happening to me. However I must say that my older sister is huge motivation for me. She believes in me and praises every single success which helps me a lot! I definitely would not be full time fashion blogging if it wasn't for her.
DTK:What is the story behind the name of the blog?

Tamara: Most of people think that fashion and beauty is something extremely superficial, and that if fashion is your interest you must not be interested in any other important topics. I disagree, I think you could be a neuro surgeon who saves lives every day and still love fashion to bits. As a pharmacist I think a dose of fashion or Glam and Glitter as I call it is very important fro every day happiness. That is where the blog name came from.

DTK:Why do you like blogging?

Tamara: I love being able to express what I love. I also really enjoy in all the friendships I made through it, and of course amazing business opportunities I had in the past years. Non of that would be possible without my amazing followers, who are exactly what I love about the blogging the most.

DTK:Who are your biggest style inspirations?

Tamara: I don't have style inspirations as such. I find inspiration everywhere, on the streets, on the TV, even in food packaging. If I see two colours that look good together, I am gonna make that work in fashion. However I really love how Olivia Palermo and Miranda Kerr make no mistakes.

DTK:What are this summer's must-haves in your opinion?

Tamara: I am really really into midi skirts, A line midi skirts, a lot of print and colour. But thats just me being me. There is no such a thing as a must have.

DTK:Who's your biggest supporter?

Tamara: Like said above it must be my sister and my family. They truly get it and really stand by my side in chasing my dreams. I also have a bunch of amazing followers that I am so grateful for meeting, and they are the sweetest, most amazing people ever! Its so lovely when they approach me and we have a little chat, since I find a lot about them, and that really makes me happy.

DTK:What is the last piece of clothing you bought?

Tamara: A Self Portrait dress I really wanted, and I finally found it in my size! So happy

DTK:Any specific tips you have for newbie bloggers who want to make it in the blogosphere?

Tamara: I think its really important to be consistent. I opened my blog in 2009 but I didn't consistently blog until late 2010 and I wish that wasn't the case. Be yourself as none can do that as good as you can! 

DTK:Do you want to say anything to the Dressed To Kill readers?

Tamara: Just never to give up on their dreams, you can do anything you want, you just have to really want it and work for it!
